Austin Health Commons
Austin Health Commons is fully committed to a new paradigm shift from sick care to conscious health care and affordable access for everyone to holistic healthcare.
The Austin Health Commons formed in 2017 to shift health care ownership to communities and to foster root cause community healing. Our Health Commons will own Karisha Community’s 14,000 square foot prototype health and healing center coming soon to Central East Austin. Austin Health Commons is a community non profit which shifts ownership of health care from corporations back to community, and we cultivate community commonwealth through health.
Austin Health Commons (AHC) is a non profit organization that cultivates root cause community healing through a process called Truth, Racial Healing, Transformation developed by Dr Gail Christopher. The Austin Health Commons shifts ownership of health back to communities and those of us who live in our communities. Our model was borrowed from the Food Commons and Commons Health, developed by Jamie Harvie.
